Well, it looks like the Christians are becoming another lobby group. Just like NOW or NAACP or ACLU or whomever.
This doesn't make them right or wrong, just more politically powerful than they were when they were silent. Exactly like feminist and black rights advocates, you don't agree with everything they say or do, but acknowledge their right to say or do it.
That first person does make a valid point, why was Yugoslavia's attack OK? The "mass murders" were proven to be faked by rebels. Ethnic cleansing did take place, including AFTER the war when ethnic Albanians threw out 100,000 or so ethnic Slavs under the watchful (blind) eye of NATO troops. Also Haliburton was given tens of millions of dollars worth of un-tendered contracts my Mr Clinton's crew. Where was outcry from the press? Where were the protests?
I dunno either crazy, it's just not a nice world out there... 4 million dead in Congo since 1998...

You'all did try to invade Canada in 1812... [img]tongue.gif[/img] But we forgive you! There've been many governments overthrown by America, countries invaded & etc. Philipines, Panama, Chili, Argentina, Serbia, the list goes on and on...
This war is about breaking the UN Cease-Fire treaty, and the UN refusing to do anything about it. Of course THAT doesn't "sell" very well, so they (the govt & agencies) put all this emphesis on WMD and such.
There's more reason to invade Iraq than there was to invade Yugoslavia (Serbia).
I'm a Deist too [img]smile.gif[/img] Like all those smart founding fathers, lol! And it's true, the USA is not a "christian" nation but rather one founded on "christian" principles. So anyone claiming the Bible has authority over the govt must be nutzo or something.

Well, New Bern is a good-sized city and that's about an hour or so away from me. When you see towns like Pantego or Bath, those are small towns that I think are pretty much in closer proximity to me. Chocowinity is where my wife grew up and that's a 10-15 minute drive up the highway from Washington.
